Mother Earth School fosters health for both brain and physical development, connecting young children with one another and the natural world. We are a mixed-aged program for 3- to 6-year-olds. Guided by Waldorf principles and Nature-Based Early Childhood Education (NBECE), we attend holistically to all aspects of the young child's growth. We offer 2-hour sessions on the farm, on both weekdays and weekends.
Predictable, rhythmic routines provide a consistent foundation for the children, allowing them explore, create, and immerse themselves fully in their experiences.
Curricular offerings include rich experiences of song and storytelling, art, handwork and gardening, and self-initiated exploration and play.
Outdoor programming in changing seasons and weather grounds the child in the Earth's dynamic nature and fosters connection, resilience and resourcefulness.
Small group sizes allow for attention to the child's individuality as well as relationship with others.
